Trampolines have also become very popular in gyms and exercise centers to stay fit. Even physical rehabilitation centers and sports teams utilize trampolines in there programs.

Trampoline Parts and Maintenance

There are certain things a trampoline owner may want to think about with their trampoline parts and maintenance. If you maintain your trampoline properly it will last you years of enjoyment. The trampoline springs and padding will need to be replaced as it ages. This is because it is often out in the weather and wears down over time and damage will cause them to be ineffective. It’s a good idea to replace the trampoline springs and padding every couple of years and invest in a trampoline enclosure to protect the springs and the users from the springs. While it won’t keep all of the weather out, it can help a lot.

The trampoline net or enclosure is also extremely important for larger trampolines because it will prevent the person on the trampoline from falling or slipping off and causing injury to themselves or others. A fall from a trampoline could possibly be fatal and having a trampoline net or enclosure is extremely important. You should also have a ladder set up to climb on to and off of your trampoline. Trampolines are so much fun but keeping trampoline safety in mind is something very important to consider.

Lets review the trampoline parts list;

  • The trampoline frame is the part of the trampoline that hold everything together. The trampoline frame is usually made from metal poles and piping.
  • Trampoline mat is the stretchy material that you jump on. This mat is colored black on most trampolines and designed to fit snug between the trampoline springs on the metal frame.
  • Trampoline springs are the metal springs that give the trampoline that extra bounce. The trampoline springs are placed between the frame and the trampoline mat and usually hooked into place. There are spring less applications available but most trampolines come with some type of spring mechanism. The trampoline springs are usually made from some type of hard metal.
  • Trampoline pads or padding is used to cover all of the metal pipes, poles and springs of the trampoline. The padding should fit snug around the bars and also cover the springs to prevent people from falling through.
  • Trampoline nets and enclosures are the surrounding netting that prevents a user from falling or slipping from the trampoline.
  • Trampoline ladder so someone can climb onto and off of the trampoline. The ladder should be specifically designed for that type of trampoline.

Big Or Small

There are several sizes of trampolines buyers can look at. The larger ones are good for simply having fun and for more than one person to use at the same time. These are normally more for recreation. They can be a lot of fun, but they can also be a little more dangerous because if too many people use the trampoline, they can break it or they can cause damage to the springs and structure.

Small Exercise trampolines are not as usable for recreation, because of the small size. They are useful for exercising while inside. The advantage to this trampoline is that it can be put away in the home instead of staying out in the weather. They also seem to last a little longer if they are put away after each use. They also make small kid’s trampolins that many people ill set up indoors for the use of small children.

Where Trampolines Can Be Used

Backyard Trampoline

There are several places these can be used, but the most common is the back or front yard. Normally there is enough room for a large trampoline if that is what the buyer wants to have.

Those that want to have a trampoline on the property, need to make sure they have enough room and that there are not any city laws that prevent it’s use. While rare, it does happen. No one wants to have a problem with the city they live in because they are not allowed to have trampolines on the property.

Another place that is common for trampolines is a spare room. If a person has a spare room in their home that is large in size, they may choose to put recreational items in that extra room. The room does have to have a high ceiling in order for the trampoline to fit well. Otherwise, the buyer may have to look at a smaller size or an alternative location for it.

Getting a good trampoline that fits the needs of a buyer is not a hard thing to do. The buyer just needs to know what they want and what they should be looking for. They will also need to know the legal options they may need to have. This will keep them from getting in trouble with the city they live in and could also prevent any problems of that manner. It may be required for the buyer to carry additional insurance in order to make sure if there are any injuries, they are covered and taken care of.
